The India’s First Cherry Blossom Festival was held on 14th to 17th November, 2016, at Shillong, Meghalaya by the Government of Meghalaya is association with Institute of Bioresources and Sustainable Development (IBSD) at the Ward’s Lake, Shillong.

The Cherry Blossom, which is in full bloom in Shillong, lasts only last for a maximum of a week to 10 days, which is giving a pinkish and whitish look to the city.
